Wedding Rentals in Ajax, Durham Region and the GTA
Since 2017, JH Party and Tent Rentals has helped couples across Durham Region and the GTA set up weddings at home, in the backyard and at venues. We’re rated 5.0 stars on Google, we’re a Top Choice Award winner (2022, 2025 and 2026) and a Consumer Choice Award winner (2025 and 2026), and we’ve been named one of the Three Best Rated rental companies in Ajax every year since 2018.
What we rent for weddings
- Tents: clear-top and solid white frame tents in 20′, 30′ and 40′ widths, and classic pole tents. Frame and pole tents include installation and takedown by our crew.
- Ceremony: floral arches, 8’x8′ flower walls, 4 ft and 8 ft pine benches, King and Queen throne chairs, and bride and groom loveseats.
- Reception tables and seating: gold and clear Chiavari chairs, harvest crossback chairs, 4’x8′ harvest tables, round and rectangular tables, and cruiser tables for cocktail hour.
- Table settings: round and rectangular linens, chiffon runners, 20″x20″ linen napkins, gold charger plates, gold table numbers and centrepieces.
- Tent décor and lighting: sheer ceiling and leg draping, ceiling greenery, 6-arm crystal chandeliers, and globe and Edison string lights.
- Dancing and entertainment: parquet dance floors, portable stages in 16″ and 24″ heights, LED bars, marquee letters, cold spark machines, low ground fog and a 360 video booth.
How big a tent do you need?
Plan about 10 sq ft for each seated guest, 6 sq ft for each guest on the dance floor, and about 100 sq ft each for the bar and the buffet. As a guide, a 20’x40′ tent seats 80 guests at banquet tables, a 30’x40′ seats 120, and a 40’x60′ seats 240. Tell us your guest count and plans, and we’ll recommend the right size.
How booking works
- Add the items you’d like to your cart and check out. This sends us a quote request; it doesn’t confirm your order.
- For tented weddings, we offer a free consultation and site visit within 20 km of our South Ajax showroom, which covers Ajax, Pickering, Whitby and Oshawa. We’ll measure your space and create a custom floor plan.
- Standard delivery is the day before your wedding, Monday to Saturday between 8 am and 6 pm, and pickup is the day after.
Good to know
- Tents over 600 sq ft need a city permit. We provide the engineered drawings and safety certificates.
- Tents on grass don’t need weights. On asphalt, interlock, patios or decks, we anchor them with 400 lb cement weights.
- Stages and dance floors need to be under cover, so plan them inside your tent.
- Final counts are locked in 14 days before your event.
