Corporate and Special Event Rentals in Durham Region and the GTA
Company picnics, grand openings, groundbreaking ceremonies, galas, festivals, fundraisers, trade shows and community events: JH Party and Tent Rentals supplies the tents, staging and event equipment to run them. We’ve been based in South Ajax since 2017, and we deliver all over Ontario.
Events we’ve supplied
- BMK Durham Summer Fest: pop-up tents in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
- Windsor Regional Hospital, new hospital groundbreaking ceremony (2026): a 40’x90′ frame tent for the ceremony.
- Toronto Council Fire Native Cultural Centre: pop-up tents for their event in Regent Park, downtown Toronto, in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
What we rent for events
- Large tents: frame tents in 20′, 30′ and 40′ widths, up to 40’x100′ (4,000 sq ft, seating 400 at banquet tables), plus classic pole tents and pop-up tents. Our 40′ widths are the most popular choice for corporate events and festivals.
- Staging: 4’x8′ portable stage platforms in 16″ and 24″ heights, 14′ stage skirts in five colours, and stage steps.
- Flooring: parquet dance floors, plywood flooring and plastic flooring, priced per square foot.
- Guest management: gold stanchions with red velvet rope, retractable belt stanchions, and 3’x25′ red carpet runners.
- Presentations: a clear acrylic podium, a projector with a 100″ screen, and easels.
- Pipe and drape: adjustable aluminum uprights and crossbars with white or black velvet drapes, and fire-retardant banjo cloth for booths and backdrops.
- Tables and seating: 6’x18″ conference tables, cruiser tables, round and rectangular tables, and lounge sofas.
- Climate control: 390,000 BTU diesel heaters for large tents, 85,000 BTU propane heaters, 45,000 BTU patio heaters, and industrial fans.
- Extras: coat racks with 25 hangers, garbage bins, marquee letters, a 360 video booth and cold spark machines.
Permits, insurance and planning
Tents over 646 sq ft (60 m²) need a building permit, and public or corporate events may be inspected. We provide engineered drawings and safety certificates for your application, and we can provide a certificate of insurance for venues that require one. On asphalt, interlock or other hard surfaces, we anchor tents with 400 lb cement weights. For example, a 40’x60′ tent needs 20 weights.
How booking works
Add the items you’d like to your cart and check out to send a quote request, or call us for larger events. Final counts are locked in 14 days before your event. We accept credit card, debit, e-transfer, cash and certified cheque.
