Big families, several days of celebrations and guest lists of 200 or more: cultural weddings need more space and more planning than most. JH Party and Tent Rentals is a family business in Ajax. Since 2017 we’ve set up tents for South Asian, Afghan, Persian and Arab weddings across Durham Region and the GTA, and we deliver all over Ontario.

Tents for large guest lists

Frame tents up to 40’x80′. How many guests fit depends on the size of your stage and dance floor and how many bars and buffet tables you need, so we’ll draw a floor plan with you.

Separate seating and women-only setups

Divide one tent into two areas with partition drapes or tent walls
Solid white walls around the outside give full privacy, so no one can see in or out

Every event, one supplier

Tents and rentals for each part of the celebration: engagement, nikah or ceremony, henna or mehndi night, haldi, sangeet, reception, walima and family gatherings before and after the wedding. Book several events together and we’ll plan the deliveries around your schedule.

The stage and the couple

Portable stages in 16″ and 24″ heights, with skirts and steps, so every guest can see the couple
King and Queen throne chairs and a bride and groom loveseat
Sheer ceiling and leg draping, ceiling greenery and 6-arm crystal chandeliers
Floral arches and 8’x8′ flower walls for the backdrop (see decor)

Dancing and entertainment

Oak or teak parquet dance floors from 6’x8′ to 21’x16′, installed inside your tent (see sizes and prices)
Cold spark machines, low ground fog, LED bars and light-up marquee letters
A 360 video booth

Practical details

Permits: tents over 646 sq ft (60 m²) need a building permit. We supply the drawings and certificates, or we get the permit for you. See tent permits.
Heating: forced-air propane or diesel heaters for spring and fall weddings
Flooring: plywood flooring for uneven lawns, so tables and the stage sit level
Delivery: we deliver all over Ontario. Delivery is priced in your quote, based on your items, location and distance.
Book early: summer weekends fill up, so book 2 to 3 months ahead.
